Highland’s staff enjoy providing person centered care that is dignified, nurturing stimulating and safe. Careful oversight and building security is provided twenty four hours a day (Highland is known as a “lock down” facility). Often the staff become familiar “friends” to our residents and in many cases we feel like adopted family members. We take pride in the care that we give, and we have a clear understanding of the importance of gaining the trust of our residents and their families. Providing a Quality of Life environment every day and night throughout the year is our duty and our pledge at Highland.
Highland Alzheimer’s Care offers service packages under the following headings:
Long Term Care – Defined as permanent placement, as such a family has chosen for their loved one to be cared for and reside at Highland for an indefinite period of time. The service fees associated with this option are based on the type of room desired plus a care level fee that is determined by an assessment of a persons needs. These fees are typically paid in advance at the beginning of the month. Please call us to ask questions or to discuss your specific situation and needs.
Adult Day Care – Defined as a short stay typically 12 hours or less on any given day. Every aspect of care and supervision for residents enrolled in Highland’s Adult Day Care service program are equal to those provided under a Long Term Care contract. The service fees associated with this option are based on hourly rates at three care levels plus a small fee for meals. These fees are typically billed at the end of each month and are payable within ten days of the invoice date. Space is limited by the number of Long Term Care Residents. Overnight Respite Care – Defined as a temporary placement for 1 day (overnight or 24 hours) and up to 30 days. Typically this service level is chosen by families who are caring for a loved one at home. Overnight Respite Care offers home based caregivers a chance to take a vacation, to attend a family function out the area, or to attend to their own healthcare needs, AND to do so knowing that their loved one is being appropriately cared for during their time away. The service fees associated with this option are based on the type of room desired plus a care level fee that is determined by an assessment of a persons needs.
